Thank you, Liz! Thanks for enjoying – and sharing – our Signature Mugs!
Bottom is rough and scratches table tops. Inside at the attachments to the handle is indented making it difficult to clean. One indentation is quite deep and I’m unable to clean thoroughly.
Hi Thomas. Thank you for your valued feedback. We have some tips that we hope will help! Our artisans smooth the foot of each product before shipping, however some customers find that using very fine grit sandpaper helps smooth it even more. (The unglazed foot will also wear down to a smoother surface with regular use.) To clean the indentation, we have found that using a flexible sponge with a “rough” side works best.
Recently, our team wrote a blog about the different styles of mugs we offer. Perhaps there is another that might suit your preferences better? Check out the blog at https://emersoncreekpottery.com/selecting-the-perfect-mug/
Beautifully crafted, useful works of art. Happy they’re microwave and dishwaser safe. Great interactions with friendly and knowledgeable EC sales reps online and in the outlet store (cozy cabin farmhouse with beautiful view of the mountains). Proud to support this outstanding made-in-Virginia business.
Thanks, Robert. It’s easy for us to talk about our pottery because we love what we do. Thanks for visiting the Outlet and supporting our business.
