Our Teapots with sweetly curving sides are available in hand-painted designs or classic solid glazes and will steep tea and keep it hot or cool in their ceramic stoneware bodies, not to be used directly on a stove-top. Designed for tea bags or tea ball infusers to steep tea, there is no built-in tea strainer. Host your friends for an elegant afternoon with our Tea Sets– just add delicate shortbread and strong tea!

  • Drastic temperature changes (from the refrigerator to the hot oven) may cause cracking. Room temperature to cool oven is best. Allow pottery to cool before placing in refrigerator or dishwasher.
  • Do not broil or place on a stovetop burner. Do not store in freezer.
  • Pottery can scratch furniture & cause water stains if placed directly on furniture surface. Use cork tabs or felt on the base of the pottery and/or a trivet or tablecloth to protect furniture.
  • Do not leave pottery outdoors in winter – temperature fluctuations can crack pottery.
  • Low quality cutlery can mark pottery; remove marks with a kitchen abrasive, like Bar Keeper’s Friend. High quality steel cutlery will not mark the pottery.
  • Handcrafted pottery has slight variations in size, color & design, characteristics to be expected and treasured in handcrafted art.
  • And yes, pottery will break if dropped!

Owning a piece of American pottery feels liberating! The quality of the teapot is impeccable. American Blue is a rich color that is classic and timeless. I rated 5 stars for a reason. The only minor issue is the lid catchment not being substantial enough to keep the lid on during serving. However, an index finger pressing on the lid knob will keep it on. I will be ordering more stoneware from Emerson Creek Pottery.

We make an effort to seek out small " Made in America" companies who contribute to their respective local communities. Sure we could have purchased a lower priced tea pot locally or from dreaded local economy draining giant Amazon. But we chose to invest in America through a Made in America company. Emerson Creek's American Blue Tea Pot is worth every cent as it is hands down the best looking, finest crafted tea pot we have ever owned. That includes a made in England Brown Betty. Our Emerson Creek American Blue is sturdier and better looking than any tea pot we have ever owned. It makes plenty for a second cup or more when sharing a pot. It stays hot longer than any tea pot we have used. It is sure to become a family heirloom to be enjoyed by future generations. In these days of buy fast, buy cheap. It is reassuring to know that businesses like Emerson Creek are producing unbeatable high quality hand made products that will last and are Made in America by Americans! I'm not knocking anyone or their countries. I am choosing to buy quality American Made safe & healthy pottery. All The Very Best for Your Continued Success.

    • Hi Brian, thank you for your review! We love getting feedback like this. The lids on our teapots are not an exact fit due to the hand crafted nature of our process which means they can fall out at certain angles. We appreciate your love for American-made pottery and the support you are showing through your purchase!

  2. Looks exactly like the photo. Heavier than I expected. Holds heat well. Very happy. Would recommend.

    • Hi Ellen. Thanks for your purchase of an Emerson Creek Teapot and for your great feedback!

  3. I chose the teapot with iris design, one of my favorites and it is beautiful! Such a well made teapot, sturdy with a pleasing shape; I love it!

    • We’re so glad that you’re pleased with the design and sturdiness of the Teapot, Annette. Thank you for your kind review.
