Pumpkin Spice Latte

There’s no need to spend $5 (or more!) on your favorite fall drink at the coffee shop. Making a Pumpkin Spice Latte at home is actually quite simple – and the taste of this delicious drink just feels like a celebration of autumn. Once you’ve tried this recipe, you may just decide to ditch your daily coffee shop visits and hone in on your inner barista skills!

Ingredients

  • 1-2 shots of espresso
  • 3 Tbsp canned pumpkin purรฉe
  • 2 tsp honey
  • ยฝ cup oat milk (unsweetened), plus 1/3 cup to froth
  • ยฝ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ยฝ tsp turmeric powder
  • ยฝ tsp almond or vanilla extract
  • whipped cream, pinch of cinnamon, pumpkin spice sauce or caramel to drizzle on top.

Directions

  1. In a high-speed blender mix together the shots of espresso, the almond milk and the pumpkin purรฉe. Blend until smooth.ย 
  2. Transfer to a sauce pan. 
  3. Cook on medium heat on the stove top until it boils or microwave for 30-45 seconds. Remove from heat, stir in almond or vanilla extract and honey.
  4. Place additional milk in a cup and use a frother to foam. 
  5. Pour coffee into a large latte mug, add the foamy milk and whipped cream on top. 
  6. Drizzle with pumpkin spice sauce, sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy!
